my top criteria:
1. Relationship
2. Quality components, parts and construction
3. Price/Value
my philosophy:
None of the other items matter if there is not a relationship of trust and dependability that the company will be there regardless of what your paperwork/contract/fine print says. I have been with Yamaha since 1988 and have never looked back. I do look at and test drive all the new products out there and get pressured quite frequently to switch, but I have never had a reason to do so. The relationships I have had with Yamaha's sales and service teams combined with the proven quality and service and the constant innovations have been unsurpassed. I should know, I have a 27 hole semi-private club with mostly public play that is open 364 days a year. I have no extra cars to run while the others are down. We have to have dependable cars that are comfortable and attractive for our 100 plus outings per year on top of our regular play of guest and members. I do not have a full time cart crew or mechanic, so I have to have a quality car. Price is the last item on my list (it's important, but doesn't mean anything at all if your cars do not run on game day, or my guest didn't enjoy them).
